Ramboll appoints new Chief Financial Officer

Michael Harboe-Jørgensen assumes the role of executive board member and chief financial officer effective immediately at the global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company.

Today, Ramboll has appointed Michael Harboe-Jørgensen as the company's next chief financial officer (CFO) and member of the executive board.

In his new role, Michael will be leading the global finance organisation, while retaining responsibility for the company’s corporate development. Michael has been acting CFO since June 2026.

"I am extremely pleased that Michael has accepted the role of CFO while continuing to lead our corporate development team. Corporate development and finance are two areas that are closely connected, and I cannot think of a better person to realise the shared ambitions and potential of these two functions than him. Michael has been a valuable member of the group executive board over the past several months, and we all look forward to welcoming him permanently to our leadership team,” says Group CEO Christian Jensby, Ramboll.

Michael Harboe-Jørgensen originally joined Ramboll in March 2025 from a position as CFO in the Danish company Innargi. Prior to that, he has held various leadership positions at the A.P. Moller Group, focusing on strategy, finance, M&A, and investor relations.

“Since taking on the role of interim CFO earlier this year, I have enjoyed getting closer to our business leaders as well as the global finance organisation. Global finance is an impressive group of people, and I look forward to officially leading the team going forward while remaining close to the corporate development team,” says Michael Harboe-Jørgensen, CFO at Ramboll.

Michael Harboe-Jørgensen is a Danish national with more than 20 years of experience in finance and strategy functions.

“What excites me most about the role is the opportunity to get even closer to our operations, markets, and clients. Ramboll has significant potential, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the company to help unlock that potential and turn it into lasting value for our clients, our people, and the business. At the same time, I am excited to continue contributing to the development of our new company strategy and helping bring it to life across the organisation,” says Michael Harboe-Jørgensen, CFO at Ramboll.

The group executive board is now complete with Christian Jensby as chief executive officer, Lone Tvis as chief people officer, Peter Heymann Andersen as chief commercial officer, and Michael Harboe-Jørgensen as chief financial officer.
