The hospital's entire service area covers nearly 750,000 Finns. In collaboration with the University of Oulu and regional central hospitals, OYS trains a significant number of specialist doctors to meet the healthcare needs of Northern Finland.
The new C-building at Oulu University Hospital is being developed with a vision to provide high-quality patient care, create a positive work environment, and ensure future flexibility. The new C-building aims to meet the evolving demands of future healthcare.
Upon completion, the C-building will be the fifth new building in the Oulu hospital area within the past 10 years. The building will have 9 floors and a total area of approximately 35,500 square meters.
