Enhancing healthcare in Helsingborg

Region Skåne identified the need for a new hospital area to address the growing demands for advanced medical care and improved healthcare infrastructure. Their vision was to create a facility that combines sustainability with flexibility, capable of adapting to future challenges in healthcare and reaching high operational redundancy. Region Skåne's commitment to high standards in healthcare delivery and patient well-being was the driving force behind this ambitious project.

Ramboll has been a pivotal technical consultant throughout the planning and development phases of this project. Our expertise spans across construction, installation work, traffic planning, geotechnics, groundwater, stormwater and cloudburst management and fire & risk management. Collaborating closely with Region Skåne and the City of Helsingborg, Ramboll has played a crucial role in shaping strategies to ensure the hospital's efficiency, sustainability, and robust design.

In close partnership with the general consultant group and the client, Ramboll has implemented the concept of 'The Robust Hospital' focusing sharply on operational redundancy and achieving silver accreditation for sustainability standards. We developed innovative processes such as the "Sustainability Dialogue Tool," engaging in substantive sustainability dialogues and workshops to align the project's goals with stringent environmental and energy efficiency criteria.
