Implementing CSRD and EU taxonomy for decarbonised energy specialist

Ramboll is supporting GETEC, Europe’s leading specialist for decarbonised energy and infrastructure solutions, with the implementation of sustainability reporting in line with the CSRD and EU taxonomy.

GETEC is one of Europe’s leading energy service providers for the industrial and real estate sectors, employing nearly 3,100 people and providing decarbonised energy solutions for customers in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, and the Benelux countries.

Under CSRD and EU taxonomy, the company is required to publish a comprehensive sustainability report, necessitating effective project management, cross-departmental collaboration, and accurate reporting.
GETEC sought Ramboll’s expertise to help plan and implement sustainability reporting in accordance with these requirements.

Expertise and proven methods

For clients like GETEC, the extensive requirements of the CSRD and EU taxonomy pose complex challenges. These include defining clear responsibilities, adapting existing processes, and implementing new reporting systems. The collection, analysis, and consolidation of relevant data across numerous departments and international sites is particularly demanding.

Ramboll is supporting GETEC to achieve its sustainability objectives. Together with the GETEC project team, Ramboll is taking responsibility for project governance, defining clear roles and responsibilities, and developing practical, efficient solutions for implementation.

The Ramboll project team is supporting GETEC’s project management across three phases:

1. Double materiality analysis and CSRD implementation roadmap
  • Review and finalisation of the initial double materiality analysis through in-depth examination and identification of optimisation potential
  • Development of a detailed CSRD implementation roadmap at both the group and regional levels
  • Definition of an appropriate governance model for data collection and validation
2. Forming data collection structures and developing the EU taxonomy roadmap
  • Prioritisation and review of all relevant data points, particularly time-critical information
  • Development of a tracking tool for ongoing progress monitoring and documentation
  • Creation of a structured roadmap for assessing EU taxonomy eligibility and compliance
3. Establishing processes for initial data collection, including EU taxonomy KPIs
  • Establishment of a robust data foundation and support for the initial data collection process
  • Detailing and alignment of data collection processes with the departments
  • Calculation of EU Taxonomy-relevant KPIs and integration into internal IT systems

Ramboll is helping GETEC to meet regulatory requirements and generate reliable sustainability data – creating long-term value and strengthening stakeholder trust. This enables greater transparency, efficient resource utilisation, and compliance with the highest environmental and social standards.
