Consultant – Offshore Wind Advisory

As our new Consultant, you will be part of our Offshore Wind Advisory team. You will take on a key role as subject matter expert shaping and enhancing our service deliverables. Our assignments are of a diverse nature with both well-known and new market players, joint ventures and investment funds, and cover a broad scope of services as well as potential combination with other technologies, such as Power-to-X, where we would make use of the wider Ramboll expertise.

Your tasks and responsibilities 

As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as: 

  • Support working packages relevant to the definition and business case preparation supporting our clients on identifying the most suitable technical concept as per the corresponding site conditions, local market conditions (e.g., localization requirements) and risk appetite 
  • Support strategic advice in a varied range of assignments, covering but not limited to supporting our clients in shaping winning strategies for auction processes or in major investment projects  
  • Support diverse technical and commercial advisory services, ranging from owner’s engineering to technical due diligence and strategic advisory  
  • Support standardisation processes and initiatives across the Wind Advisory team  
  • Develop practical solutions to multifaceted problems  
  • Apply offshore wind experience to the ongoing commercialization of floating offshore wind  
  • Support our clients to successfully deliver offshore wind projects globally 

 

Your qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree or other advanced degree is preferred (these must have been obtained with a minimum of a 2:1 classification or equivalent) 
  • Demonstrable relevant professional experience in consulting or project management 
  • Relevant offshore experience on complex energy projects and / or large-scale renewable energy projects 
  • Industry knowledge and an understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks and commercial aspects of offshore wind farm development 
  • Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for analytical and persuasive presentations 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions that promote / advance company goals and objectives 
  • Ideally, expertise in one or more of the following areas: wind turbine technology, floating wind, supply chain, electrical, cables, OSS, FOU, WTG package management, transport and installation, permitting, due diligence, wind & site
