As our Senior Structural Project Engineer, your key roles and responsibilities are:

  • Execution of all structural designs in accordance with project requirements, Ramboll’s standards and policies and all other relevant standard and requirements.
  • Competences in submissions, codes and practices for Authorities (LTA / PUB / NPARKS);
  • Adherence to and implementation of Ramboll’s IMS and procedures applicable to Project Engineers.
  • Drawing up overall and specific stage programme for Ramboll’s works in line with "Project Schedule" agreed.
  • Delegation of works to supporting staff and supervision of their works.
  • Liaison with Project Consultants and other external bodies as may be necessary for the progress of works.
  • Calling for and/or attending Project Review Sessions.
  • Manage project on timely delivery, resource planning, keeping track on project profitability, raising VO, etc
  • Preparation of relevant reports and specifications in line with an agreed Project Programme.
  • Organising production and issue of Ramboll’s drawings in line with an agreed Project Programme.
  • Analysis of the works scope and reporting to Project Director/Project Associate.
  • Production of Structural Engineering calculations, Structural drawings, specifications and reports, presentations in accordance with project requirements for submission to external bodies for comments/approval as may be necessary, with available computer-aided software
  • Keeping Project Director/ Project Associate informed of project progress supervision of closure of the project on receipt of TOP, CSC and receipt of final payment.
  • Render assistance or ad-hoc tasks as and when needed.

You will become part of our Building Department based in the Ramboll Head Office for the APAC hub, in Singapore.

We have extensive global experience in project delivery from the initial concept phase to final completion and handover, and we are involved in both Singapore and international projects.

About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success. These include:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in structural design, preferably in consultancy firms;
  • Working experience and/or knowledge and interest in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), modular design, PPVC, precast, steelworks and MET;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing;
  • Proficiency with common structural design software e.g. ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE;
  • Knowledge or interest of parametric software for structural optimisation (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper) is an advantage;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • International mindset and an ability to drive collaboration across construction disciplines, both within Ramboll and externally;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop practical solutions;
  • Attention to details.

As our Senior Structural Project Engineer you will be part of Building department in which we do Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering consultancy delivering high quality solutions across the globe.

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering;
  • Min 5 years’ experience in structural design, manage and lead projects;
  • Knowledge on GIS software / Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads
  • Preferable experience in consultancy firms;
  • Good knowledge of modelling software, e.g. ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, REVIT;
  • Knowledge or interest of parametric software for structural optimisation (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper) will be highly regarded;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Attention to details;
