Senior or Chief Consultant Technical Due Diligence - Offshore Wind Advisory

As our new Chief or Senior Consultant you will be part of our Technical Due Diligence competence group within Project Development & Advisory (PD&A). You will take on a key role as subject matter expert shaping and enhancing our service delivery. Our assignments are of a diverse nature with both well-known and new market players, joint ventures and investment funds, and cover a broad scope of services as well as potential combination with other technologies, such as Power-to-X, where we would make use of the wider Ramboll expertise.

Your tasks 

As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as: 

  • Diverse due diligence projects for both fixed-bottom and floating wind in a variety of development stages 
  • Project management or contribution as a specialist, of due diligence projects, ensuring the results are concise, insightful and impactful 
  • Establishing and improving due diligence processes (such as interface to risk assessment competences) and training for a rapidly growing team 
  • Leading new internal initiatives to leverage due diligence experience into other areas 

 

Your qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree or other advanced degree is preferred 
  • A minimum of 10 years (Chief) / 4-10 years (Senior) of relevant professional experience in consulting or project management 
  • Substantial / extensive experience in offshore wind project development, execution and / or operation within a project developer organisation or in an Owner’s Engineer role within the relevant field 
  • Profound industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks and commercial aspects of offshore wind farm development 
  • Experience in negotiating complex construction contracts  
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated to offshore construction projects 
  • Contacts to an established network of clients for due diligence, ideally on seller, buyer and lender sides 
  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are beneficial 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions that promote / advance company goals and objectives 
  • Good writing and communication skills with an eye for analytical and persuasive presentations 
  • Track record of presenting technical options to clients, ideally including evaluation of options on cost basis 
  • Expertise in one or more of typical subject matter areas for technical due diligence, such as wind turbine technology, floating wind, supply chain, electrical, cables, OSS, FOU, WTG package management, transport and installation
