As our new Engineer 2, you will:

  • The incumbent will perform moderate to complex assignments, which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related design engineering tasks.
  • Assignments involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level.
  • The incumbent must be capable of collaborating and making evaluations and interpretations, exercising independent judgment in selecting and applying engineering standards.
  • Plan and design portions of projects of greater complexity, following design, construction and government standards, using design software and other tools.
  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and other data to plan projects.
  • Prepare or present reports or analyses such as design calculations, field data results/conclusions and/or cost estimates.
  • Required to perform engineering calculations and research regarding reactions and properties, etc., and create engineering design deliverables (reports, tabulations, sketches/drawings, flow diagrams etc.).
  • The job involves advancing the abilities with process modeling (ProMax and CHEMCAD) and pressure safety/relief provisions and use simulation data to analyze process flow.
  • Making technical presentations to clients. Participation in process/chemical design safety reviews (Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)).
  • Provide support ("engineering during construction") following the completion of engineering/design.
  • Developing a level of technical expertise in specific areas (e.g., process modeling, hydraulic network analysis, pressure relief device specification and sizing, etc.).
  • Collaborating and making evaluations and interpretations, exercising independent judgment in selecting and applying engineering standards.

  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Must have completed coursework in Statistical Methods in Chemical Engineering, Wastewater Treatment, and Safety, Hazards & Environment.

  • Willingness to continue to improve.

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual rate between $79,000 and $99,000. Actual pay will depend on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location. internal equity. market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses. overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
