    As our new Senior Engineer, in the Water networks team you will be part of Water department. As a member of the Water team, you will be responsible for carrying out the design for wet utility networks such as storm water, wastewater, potable water, irrigation water, and firefighting water.

    The role involves preparing engineering designs, calculations, drawings, models, and technical documentation for systems such as potable water, wastewater, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and firefighting water networks. Also, responsible for carrying out the checks of the drawings produced by CAD technicians in the team and maintaining quality of deliverables. You will be also doing stormwater management using SUDS, providing green and nature-based solutions.

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Prepare designs for wet utility networks, including potable water, wastewater, stormwater drainage, irrigation, firefighting, and recycled water systems.
    • Carry out engineering calculations for pipe sizing, flow assessment, pressure checks, hydraulic gradients, pumping requirements, and network capacity.
    • Develop concept, preliminary, detailed, and tender design drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
    • Prepare design reports, technical notes, calculations, specifications, schedules, and design documentation.
    • Support hydraulic modelling and analysis for water supply, sewerage, and stormwater systems using appropriate software tools.
    • Coordinate wet utility layouts with roads, dry utilities, landscape, structures, buildings, and other engineering disciplines.
    • Identify and help resolve utility clashes, interface issues, and design constraints.
    • Prepare longitudinal sections, utility corridors, manhole schedules, pipe schedules, and connection details.
    • Ensure designs are prepared in accordance with applicable local authority requirements, project specifications, and relevant international standards.
    • Assist in preparing submissions to authorities and responding to review comments.
    • Support principal engineers/technical leads in client, authority, and stakeholder coordination meetings.
    • Review drawings and models prepared by CAD/BIM technicians for technical accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist with site-related technical queries, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and as-built documentation when required.
    • Contribute to quality assurance processes, interdisciplinary design reviews, and value engineering exercises.
    • Mentor and support junior engineers, graduates, and technicians where appropriate.

    For this role, we believe your starting point is,

    • BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute. ME/ M. Tech in Environmental/Water resource would be key deciding factor.
    • Should have at least 5 years of experience in drainage design and sewer design specially in the UK market.
    • Knowledge of design codes like BC codes, DMRB, ASCE, EPA, Euro Codes/CIRIA/ & Indian codes are desirable.
    • Should have knowledge and understanding of principles of drainage designs for large residential developments, road, airport, and rail environment. Experience in big infrastructure projects is desirable.
    • Should have hands on experience in using of the drainage design & modelling software like, Infodrianage/ microdrainage, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
    • In addition to the technical / functional acumen, he should have good communication skills.
    • Should be a team player and should coordinate within the team for timely delivery of project.
    • Desirable Professional English language skills (written and verbal).
