Mechanical Engineer - Buildings/Data Center

    Role overview
    We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings & Data Centre team in Singapore. The role involves design, specification, coordination and site support for mechanical services in data centres and other buildings, including HVAC, mechanical ventilation and fire protection systems. You will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors from concept through to commissioning.

    Key responsibilities

    • Design and specify mechanical systems for data centres and buildings (HVAC, MV, and fire protection).
    • Produce engineering calculations, technical specifications and design drawings for authority submissions.
    • Prepare and coordinate Revit/AutoCAD drawings and BIM deliverables.
    • Attend client, consultant, site and technical coordination meetings.
    • Assist project management with programme monitoring and construction supervision.
    • Review and comment on contractors’ technical submissions, equipment proposals and shop drawings.
    • Conduct site inspections and witness testing, commissioning and FATs.
    • Coordinate with clients’ project teams and other consultants to resolve design and interface issues.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned to support project delivery.
    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience with M&E Consultancy firm(s)
    • Good knowledge of local codes and regulations
    • Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software
    • Positive work attitude and willing to learn
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team
    • Enjoy the process of developing design ideas into actual quality installation and validating through performance tests
    • Likes hands-on site and testing & commissioning works
    • Familiarity in Data Centre industry is preferred.
    • Suitable candidates with longer experience and deeper technical knowledge will be considered for senior roles within the team.
