Your new role
As our new Process Engineer with focus on Sales, you will take on a seller-doer role where you combine client development with hands-on project delivery. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, shape scopes and lead projects from early dialogue and concept development through to execution.

Depending on the project, you may act as Project Manager, Lead Engineer or trusted technical advisor, ensuring that our solutions are technically sound, commercially relevant and aligned with client expectations. You will be part of Ramboll’s Process and Safety department, an international team of process and safety specialists in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain and India. Together, we deliver engineering and consultancy services within the industry and energy sector, with a strong focus on Process Industry, Hydrogen, PtX, CCUS, gas infrastructure and Decarbonisation of Energy-intensive industries.
In addition, you will collaborate with a wider technical community of Process engineers globally in delivering projects that involve multiple clients in countries across Europe and globally, within Solutions For Industry.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Act as a seller-doer, combining client dialogue, business development and project execution
- Identify and develop opportunities within the process industry and energy-intensive industries
- Translate client needs into clear scopes, technical concepts and value-creating solutions
- Act as Project Manager and Process Engineer on selected projects, taking ownership of delivery, coordination and client satisfaction
- Contribute to Ramboll’s market positioning and collaboration across multidisciplinary and international teams
About you
- M.Sc. or B. Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience from Industry sector (Process, Chemical, Pharmaceutical) and Decarbonisation of the Industry, from engineering consultancy, asset owner / operator, EPC contractor or an OEM / Supplier.
- Demonstrated experience in resolving challenges from clients at different technical process levels. Experience with process design and optimisation, considering heat integration and energy optimisation, de-bottlenecking studies, among others.
- Solid understanding of chemical processes and chemical engineering in general as well as sound engineering judgement and multidiscipline knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Business fluent in Danish and English.
- Process design experience where you have been responsible for developing process design documents such as PFDs / UFDs, P&IDs, datasheets and equipment process specification, process design philosophies and descriptions. Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, such as DIN, ASME, API
