    Would you like to play a key role in providing transparency and insight into Ramboll’s markets? We are looking for a talented, engaging leader to head the Project Controlling team supporting Environment & Health in Finland, Sweden, and Norway. Preferred locations for this role are Espoo, Lahti and Tampere. The successful candidate will join the Global Environment & Health Project Controlling Leadership Team, working closely with colleagues globally.

    Project Controllers are part of Business Finance and help ensure project financials accurately and completely reflect project performance. In this role, you will lead a team of local and India-based Project Controllers, serve as a trusted advisor to business executives, helping improve financial health and business results through data-driven analysis and guidance for project managers.

    • 7–10 years of relevant experience in project controlling and/or project accounting
    • 2–3 years of supervisory experience
    • A bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field
    • Experience leading teams within a global support model 
    • Advanced knowledge of cost accounting systems used to manage and monitor projects
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Strong stakeholder management skills
    • Fluency in English and Finnish
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    • Proven leadership skills
    • Strong analytical capability

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Lead direct reports by providing regular feedback, coaching, and development support to strengthen skills and support career growth; also provide direction and feedback to Project Controllers in the India delivery center.
    • Oversee project-level financial processes in your area of responsibility, including:
      • Revenue recognition
      • Monthly invoicing
      • Working capital management
      • Risk monitoring
      • Project monitoring and maintenance
      • Project creation and closeout
    • Partner with the India-based team to complete project maintenance and billing activities.
    • Promote an innovative mindset by guiding team members in identifying and implementing improvements to Project Controlling processes.
    • Lead team members and stakeholders through changes in strategic direction with agility and adaptability.
    • Manage contract financial processes with a focus on quality and compliance, including global and local statutory, tax, internal controls, Danish GAAP, and IFRS requirements.
    • Foster collaboration across business enablement functions, communicate risk assessments to leadership, and notify management of financial risks.
    • Build strong working relationships with Business Controllers, Project Managers, and Senior Business Leaders.
    • Support special projects that require cross-functional collaboration to address business issues.
    • Travel periodically, as required.
    • Work in a hybrid arrangement, with an expectation to be in the office 2–3 days per week.
