Intern for Ramboll Management Consulting, Sustainability Consulting and ESG
    Copenhagen, Denmark

Do you want to help businesses tackle complex sustainability challenges while developing your skills as a management consultant? Join our journey to build a leading consultancy at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, and business transformation.

At Ramboll Management Consulting, we work with private and public organisations across sectors including energy, infrastructure, financial services, manufacturing, buildings, and cities. Our projects span sustainability strategy and transformation, climate and decarbonisation, responsible business conduct, regulation and reporting, as well as sustainable finance.

As an intern, you will bring your ambition, eagerness to learn, curiosity, analytical skills and business understanding, into real client engagements. Working alongside experienced consultants and sustainability specialists, you will learn how to structure complex problems, develop actionable recommendations, and translate sustainability challenges into business decisions.

Join us and develop your management consulting skills while contributing to the transition towards more sustainable businesses and societies.

    Your new role
As our new sustainability intern, you will be challenged with a busy workday in an interdisciplinary environment, where you will learn about all parts of a project, from tendering to project execution.

Your tasks will vary and depend on the project scope and your personal development goals. However, you can expect a steep learning curve, exposure to complex business challenges, and close collaboration with experienced consultants and sustainability specialists.

Typical project responsibilities for an intern include:

    • Conducting sustainability analyses.
    • Developing recommendations for implementing sustainability solutions.
    • Conducting market, industry, and regulatory research.
    • Analysing quantitative and qualitative sustainability data.
    • Conducting benchmarking exercises.
    • Developing presentations and client deliverables.
    • Preparing for and participating in client meetings and workshops.
    • Supporting the development of sales materials.

    Your new team
You will join our Sustainability Consulting and ESG team, a dynamic and international team united by a strong interest in solving complex sustainability challenges for our clients.

While our backgrounds are diverse, we share a passion for our work, projects, and clients, and we enjoy spending time together outside the workplace at social gatherings.

    About you
We welcome students from diverse academic backgrounds, including business administration, economics, engineering, political science, sustainability, or related disciplines. You do not need to be a sustainability expert. Instead, we are looking for high-performing, curious students with strong analytical and business skills who are motivated to understand how sustainability can be integrated into business strategy and implementation.

The following qualifications are required to be eligible for this position:

    • You are currently studying or about to begin graduate studies or other relevant higher education.
    • You have a strong academic track record.
    • You have strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills and a structured approach to your work.
    • You are comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
    • You have professional proficiency in English.
    • You are a Danish or EU citizen or already hold a valid Danish residence permit. Due to current visa processing timelines, we are unfortunately unable to consider applicants who would require a new Danish residence permit before the start of the internship.

Additionally, the following qualifications will set you up for success:

    • Relevant experience from a student job, internship, case competition, student organisation, or other extracurricular activity.
    • You have demonstrated the ability to transform complex problems into actionable solutions.
    • You can think strategically, see the bigger picture, and approach problems from a client perspective.
    • You are proactive, comfortable working independently, and enjoy collaborating with others.
    • You’re fluent in Danish, and/or any other Nordic language.
