    Position Overview:
    We are looking for a Structural Engineer with 6–8 years of design experience, capable of supporting international projects, particularly in the Transformation & Public Buildings sector. The role is based in India and involves close collaboration with the design team in Sweden. The candidate should have a strong understanding of European design codes, excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills and hands-on experience in delivering building structures using advanced design tools and BIM workflows.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform structural analysis and design for building projects in compliance with BS and Eurocodes (EN standards).
    • Develop and review structural models, calculations, and drawings for steel, concrete, and timber structures.
    • Ensure coordination with Architecture, MEP, and BIM teams to achieve fully integrated and clash-free designs.
    • Support digital design delivery, adhering to Nordic project standards and QA procedures.
    • Participate in technical coordination meetings with global design teams and clients.
    • Prepare and review design deliverables such as GA drawings, design reports, specifications, and design schedules.
    • Assist in value engineering and ensure designs are practical, buildable, and sustainable.
    • Support other engineers and drafters, ensuring adherence to project workflows and quality expectations.
    • Maintain awareness of local and international sustainability standards (BREEAM, LEED, etc.).
    Preferred / Desirable:
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Experience in Swedish projects or public infrastructure developments.
    • Exposure to digital delivery tools (e.g., Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python scripting, etc.).
    • Understanding of sustainability and low-carbon structural design approaches.
    • Progressing toward Chartered Engineer (CEng / MICE / MIStructE) status or equivalent

     

    • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
    • 6–8 years of experience in building structures, with expertise in steel & concrete design and proficiency in designing concrete structural elements.
    • Strong technical knowledge and working experience with British Standards (BS) and Eurocodes (EN 1990–1999).
    • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as FEM Strusoft, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, SAFE, and Robot.
    • Working knowledge of Revit Structure, BIM workflows, and collaboration platforms (e.g., BIM360 / ACC).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and report writing skills in English.
    • Ability to work in a global, multidisciplinary environment with remote coordination.
