Ramboll to support programme delivery for MetroLink in Ireland

AECOM and Jacobs, working in a joint venture, have been named Programme Delivery Partner on Ireland’s MetroLink, which is set to deliver the country’s first metro system. Ramboll, together with Nicholas O’Dwyer, is supporting the joint venture.

Ramboll will combine its internationally recognised expertise in metro systems, underground infrastructure and complex tunnelling programmes with proven programme and commercial delivery capability to support the successful delivery of MetroLink. Drawing on experience from major transport programmes worldwide, Ramboll will provide technical, commercial and strategic support throughout the programme, helping to establish a high-performing delivery organisation capable of delivering one of Ireland's most significant infrastructure investments safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

This role builds on Ramboll’s successful track record as a trusted programme delivery partner to major transport clients, including Dublin Airport, further strengthening its position in Ireland. This reinforces Ramboll’s long-term commitment to the Irish market and creates a platform for continued growth, bringing global expertise to the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure.

About MetroLink

MetroLink is a transformative, nationally significant infrastructure programme that will deliver Ireland’s first fully automated, high-capacity metro system, connecting Swords and Dublin Airport with Dublin city centre and Charlemont. The route is predominantly underground, comprising extensive tunnels and 16 new stations, including 11 underground stations, creating a fast, reliable and sustainable transport connection across the Greater Dublin Area. Once operational, MetroLink will significantly enhance connectivity, support economic growth and help meet Ireland’s long-term climate and mobility objectives.
