    EHS Due Diligence & Compliance Manager

    Ramboll is seeking a motivated and experienced environmental, health and safety (EHS) professional to join our Environment & Health team in Spain.

    The successful candidate will support the delivery and growth of Ramboll's EHS Due Diligence and Compliance services across Iberia and Europe. Working with corporate, industrial, infrastructure and private equity clients, you will help identify EHS risks and opportunities associated with transactions, operations, and regulatory requirements.

    To succeed in this role, you will have a degree in a relevant discipline and several years of experience delivering EHS due diligence, compliance auditing, environmental permitting, management systems, or related consulting services.

    You will work closely with Ramboll's multidisciplinary team of environmental, health, safety, social and sustainability experts to provide practical, business-focused solutions that help our clients manage risk and achieve compliance.

     

    Your new role

    • Managing and delivering EHS due diligence projects for mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, refinancing activities, and portfolio reviews.
    • Conducting environmental, health and safety compliance assessments and audits across a variety of industrial and commercial sectors.
    • Reviewing EHS management systems, permits, licenses, regulatory obligations, and operational practices to identify risks and liabilities.
    • Supporting clients in developing corrective action plans and compliance improvement programmes.
    • Preparing high-quality technical reports and presenting findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
    • Assisting with business development activities, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
    • Collaborating with Ramboll's wider environmental, social, sustainability and transaction advisory teams to deliver integrated due diligence services.
    • Supporting junior consultants through knowledge sharing and project guidance.
    • Monitoring emerging EHS regulations and industry developments relevant to Ramboll's clients.

     

    About you

    • BS or MS degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
    • Approximately 10-15 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in EHS compliance, environmental permitting, due diligence, auditing, or risk management.
    • 5 years of experience in Project Management.
    • Experience performing environmental and/or EHS due diligence assessments for corporate, infrastructure, industrial, or private equity clients.
    • Strong understanding of European and Spanish environmental, health and safety regulations.
    • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
    • Experience preparing technical reports and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
    • Fluent Spanish and English; Portuguese would be considered an advantage.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
