Comprehensive traffic design plan for the largest integrated resort in Singapore, featuring a dedicated underground road network with basement-level transport facilities

As the largest integrated resort in Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) brings millions of tourists to the island with its unique location and attractions.

Ramboll’s work on RWS since its inception continues with the resort’s planned expansion, involving a full transport masterplan, design and implementation for a visitor forecast of 15 million annual guests.

Conducting extensive surveys and forecasting, traffic facilities design, traffic impact and road network performance assessments, we were able to develop a comprehensive traffic design plan – featuring a dedicated underground road network with basement-level transport facilities – that reduces vehicular activity at grade and makes accessible to all visitors the resort’s myriad sights and offerings.
