Ramboll helps to develop plans to improve water resource management through identifying water conversation opportunities

Helping develop plans to improve water resource management by identifying water conservation opportunities.

A global health science company in Singapore has included water stewardship as one of its strategic corporate initiatives to drive its sustainability. As part of this initiative, the company has tasked the production facilities to conduct water conservation and efficiency assessment and develop plans to reduce water use in future.

Ramboll was engaged to conduct the assessment and develop related plans for two of the company’s sites which included developing the facilities’ water balance, estimating future water demand and supply based on production forecast, conducting water risk assessment using the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Water Risk Filter, evaluating existing water conservation efforts and identifying water conservation opportunities as well as outreach.

A cost effectiveness analysis was also carried out for the existing and proposed water conservation opportunities.
