Due Diligence for a chemicals manufacturing company

A comprehensive assessment of potential environmental impacts.

Albemarle is developing a lithium hydroxide processing plant at Kemerton, Western Australia with initial production scheduled to commence in 2023, with operating life intended until 2048.

Ramboll has on this project been engaged to provide various services including waste classification and assessment, multi-criteria site analysis, AICIS registration, Human and Ecological Health Risk Assessments (HHERA), air dispersion modelling and emissions testing, dust management planning and construction environmental monitoring.

Our ongoing technical advisory role has made us an integral member of the Albemarle technical team as we continue to support the client in assessing environmental management options and compliance at the Kemerton site.

Ramboll has since been awarded for 2023 an ongoing monitoring programme (air, water, weeds and flora) within commencement of a HHERA and beneficial use assessment to support the recovery of tailings in road construction.
