Snowy Special Activation Precinct, Australia
The NSW Department of Planning and Environment has envisioned the Snowy Mountains of NSW as a year-round tourist destination and has appointed Ramboll to manage the production of three new delivery mechanisms. These will play an important role in ensuring streamlined development assessment and resilient design that both compliment and capitalise on the region’s unique character.
Comprising a Development Control Plan (DCP) for Jindabyne, a Delivery Plan (DP) for the Jindabyne Catalyst Precincts and a DCP for the Alpine Precincts, we provide a place-based framework that celebrates the unique natural, physical and socio-economic characteristics of the local area. Overarching design principles that support the vision will provide a common thread to tie the precincts to their regional context.
On top of leading the project team on DCPs and DP development, Ramboll is also tasked with the production of digital assets that aim to simplify the complex planning framework into a single-source visual tool to assist developers and agencies in streamlining planning approvals.
