Ramboll provides technical advice to Canada’s first high speed rail
A Ramboll-led advisory team will provide technical advice and insight on Transport Canada’s High-Speed Rail Initiative.

A Ramboll-led advisory team has been selected by Transport Canada to provide technical advice and insight on the High-Speed Rail (HSR) Initiative, a 1,000 km rail network that will connect millions of people living along the Toronto–Québec City corridor.
The initiative will be Canada’s largest-ever infrastructure project and a landmark investment that will dramatically reduce travel time, and enhance connectivity between key urban centers in Canada, transforming how people travel, live, and work in the regions.
Ramboll’s engineering expertise will help support Transport Canada to reach their goals as they, with VIA Rail, collaboratively deliver the project alongside ALTO (the Crown corporation responsible for developing and implementing the HSR initiative) and their private development partner, Cadence.
“With decades of Nordic and European rail expertise, we are eager to support Transport Canada with our knowledge and insight on an exemplary high speed rail project here in the Americas,” said Cheryl Ginyard-Jones, Managing Director at Ramboll Americas.
Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company founded in Denmark in 1945.
