Dronning Margrethe II Bridge: A strategic link for Denmark
The Dronning Margrethe II Bridge is Denmark’s third largest bridge, stretching approximately 4 kilometres across the Storstrøm strait. Replacing the existing bridge from 1937, the project strengthens the strategic rail and road corridor between Denmark and Germany and supports increased passenger and freight traffic linked to the future Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link.

Kruunuvuori Bridge (Crown Bridge) is a 1.2‑kilometre cable‑stayed bridge spanning the Kruunuvuorenselkä strait in Helsinki, linking the island of Laajasalo with the inner city. Designed exclusively for light rail, pedestrians and cyclists, the bridge reshapes everyday mobility by prioritising public transport and active travel over private cars, while strengthening connections between neighbourhoods across the city.

The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link is an 18 km immersed tunnel connecting Denmark and Germany, setting a new global benchmark for cross‑border infrastructure. Combining road and rail in a single structure, the project will dramatically reduce travel time, strengthen European transport corridors.

Fehmarnsund tunnel
The Fehmarnsund Tunnel is a 1.7km long immersed tunnel connecting the German mainland to the island of Fehmarn. The new crossing will carry a dual two-lane highway and twin high-speed rail lines, increasing the capacity of the existing crossing in anticipation of the completion of the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link that will connect Germany and Denmark.
