Project Manager - Dubai

Ramboll is looking for a young Project Manager to join our offices located in Dubai.
We invite you to bring your expertise in Project Management into play as you provide project management services for internal and external clients on a wide range of projects schemes, covering Industrial, Advanced Manufacturing, and Defence, including co-ordination and management of MEP, Civil and Architectural Workstreams. The role will involve management of projects across the Middle east.

You will join our Building Department
As our new Project Manager, Buildings you will be part of our global High-Rise and Complex Buildings department, Ramboll’s dedicated team of high-rise experts which have designed over 200 tall building projects globally, including some of the most technically challenging. You would be responsible for working with engineers for design work in the High-Rise department in the Dubai office and supporting the global department which also has offices in India, United Kingdom, Singapore and other locations.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of projects from concept to completion ensuring scope, contracts, budgets and QA procedures are all in place and maintained through the project lifecycle
- Working on the production of technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules that comply with the scope of services
- Working on the design process through design workshops and cluster meetings for small projects, or providing direct support as an Assistant Project Manager on larger schemes
- Facilitating the Quality Assurance and Control throughout the construction phase
- Preparing and distributing as appropriate Monthly Reports, meeting minutes and project programmes, and deliver presentations as and when required
- Interfacing with the internal Planning team as necessary for the review/assurance of programmes on larger projects.
- Facilitating risk management workshops for both design and project related elements
- Developing and working with sub-consultants, typically external quantity surveyors, architects, landscape architects, specialist designers and the like
- Ensuring that fees/costs are prepared on time and correctly submitted to the Client with all necessary supporting information to facilitate prompt payment
- Developing change within the project scope whilst ensuring delivery to Client satisfaction
- Working with bid teams to ensure preparation of proposals for multi-disciplinary tenders

- Minimum HNC/HND in a Building/Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Preferably a chartered member of an appropriate construction focused association or institute (e.g. APM), or if not currently a member of such organisation you may be required to work towards and achieve this qualification within a reasonable agreed timeframe
- Experience in a project management role in the construction industry, preferably within a multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy
- Knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work Stages
- Knowledge of construction and the design processes
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations
- An understanding of various types of procurement methods and contract administration requirements including NEC3 and NEC4
