Ramboll at CERAWeek
A unique perspective on energy transition and a purpose-driven consulting approach
Last year, as we joined the conversations at CERA Week, the focus was on multidimensional energy transition.
Through this multidimensional energy transition, we focused on the intersection of markets, climate, technology, and geopolitics as we explored strategies for a multidimensional, multispeed, and multifuel energy transition – one that reflects different realities and timelines by region, technology, and industry strategies.
But in 12 short months, much has changed, and a series of global disruptions have significantly impacted the energy sector. Despite social, economic, and geopolitical shifts, a focus on sustainability, speed, and scale remains a key part of the conversation. And we go into CERA Week this year just as invested in the outcome of the discussion.
The rise of data centers, AI, and advanced manufacturing has created capacity issues in the grid. Speed and scale to increase grid capacity at pace and scale are necessary to address the demand.
In this evolving regulatory and industry landscape, Ramboll has become a trusted advisor for clients. We leverage our multidisciplinary expertise to develop innovation and adaptable solutions that address the most pressing challenges facing the energy industry. We combine sound science, engineering expertise, and strategic acumen to navigate each bend in the road with certainty and flexibility. We offer a full view of the current external landscape and its impact on business needs and objectives. Our experts provide strategic and technical expert support from the start of a project – site selection, due diligence, feasibility – through design and planning to engineering and EPC.
While we still aim to close the gap on decarbonization, we are considering new options and analyzing the impact on our clients, the communities where we live and work, and society as a whole. Last year, we arrived ready to talk hydrogen. This year, we’re scaling up and out with a focus on CCUS, data centers, and the impact of AI.

Ahead of our participation in CERA Week, we asked our experts to reflect on the challenges and opportunities arising for the energy sector in the coming years.
