Business Analyst

As our new Business Analyst, you will play a global role Delivering technology across Ramboll's global business areas (GBAs) and global Enabling Functions. Your work will help improve and grow our tech-enabled consultancy by ensuring we build fit-for-purpose and value generating products in line with our Tech strategy. You will be part of an international team, working with stakeholders from all sides of the globe. We have a strong collaboration culture and strive to retain high employee satisfaction. The role reports to the Global Chapter Lead, Business Analysis which is part of the Digital Product Engineering division in Ramboll Tech.

Your new role 

As our new Business Analyst, you will: 

  • Ensure alignment and closing of gaps between business needs and technology solutions  

  • Have a deep understanding of business objectives, initiatives, processes and services as well as technologies used across the Ramboll technology landscape.​ 

  • Play a critical role in enabling developers by ensuring requirements are well-defined, prioritised and aligned with Ramboll’s technology strategy 

  • Manage expectations and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across all Global Business Areas and Enabling Functions 

  • Professionally and clearly extract and articulate business needs, whilst challenging stakeholders’ assumptions and presenting alternative solutions 

  • Drive and ensure product delivery is performed according to product management practices and in accordance with Ramboll’s product life cycle  .

 Areas of responsibility 

  • Identify, understand and document business needs and problems through continued dialogue, interviews, workshops, research ​ 

  • Support Product Owners in defining and prioritising requirements with key stakeholders ​ 

  • Provide domain (GBA / Enabling Function-specific) knowledge to the product / project team ​ 

  • Translate business needs and requirements into stories and technical tasks for development team, including defining acceptance criteria ​ 

  • Support Product / Project Owners in ensuring that product roadmap / project objectives align strategically with Ramboll’s company and GBA objectives. ​ 

  • For projects, create project brief, incl. high-level scope, requirements, deliverables, cost estimate, risks and dependencies ​ 

  • Facilitate completion of product plans, cost estimations and resource alignment​ 

  • Analyse, where necessary, business information to support problem-solving and propose solutions ​ 

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Architect to document requirements, design high-level architecture, conduct feasibility checks and validate proposed solutions.  

  • Bridge the gap between business and technology by enabling stakeholders to understand the technical aspects of the product and technical stakeholder to understand business aspects.​ 

  • Collaborate with Procurement and actively contribute during RFI/RFP/RFQ, vendor selection assessments, ensuring business requirements are clear to ensure scoring of solution options is conducted effectively.​ 

  • Where appropriate, drive agile cadence and delivery, leading agile teams toward defined goals and ensuring iterative progress​ 

  • Facilitate structured feedback collection mechanisms to inform continuous improvement and product evolution​ 

 

About You 

  • Able to professionally and clearly communicate with business and product / project team, manage expectations, drive product delivery and ensure alignment between different parties ​ 

  • Good understanding of technology is essential to bridge business and technical requirements effectively​ 

  • Understand business needs efficiently and comprehensively and possess the ability to ensure technology solutions create value for stakeholders ​ 

  • Good understanding of technology portfolio and how various products interact, with an emphasis on dataflow and integration ​ 

  • Proficient problem capture and solving skills, using various analysis methods and techniques ​ 

  • Experienced in an agile environment using software like Azure DevOps and familiar with Agile and Lean principles and ceremonies like daily stand-up, sprint planning and backlog refinement ​ 

  • Experienced in testing, with the ability to validate hypotheses and feasibility ​ 

  • Proactive and a strong team player 

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs, in a dynamic environment ​ 

  • Ability to handle complexity while clarifying problem statements and shaping optimal solutions 

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
