You will be part of our Datacenter Construction Support Team in Visakhapatnam, providing
structural engineering oversight and site support for a large-scale mission-critical data center
facility. You will ensure structural works are executed in accordance with design drawings,
specifications, and applicable IS codes.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Provide structural engineering construction support on-site for the datacenter project.
• Review and interpret structural GFC drawings, structural calculations, and specifications for
site execution.
• Monitor construction of structural elements – foundations, columns, beams, slabs, pre-
engineered buildings (PEB), and elevated slabs.
• Verify rebar placement, formwork, concrete grades, and pouring sequences against design
requirements.
• Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, and structural submittals.
• Conduct structural inspections at key construction milestones and prepare detailed
inspection reports.
• Manage RFIs and NCRs related to structural scope; coordinate with design engineers for
resolution.
• Oversee structural load testing, deflection monitoring, and quality verification activities.
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, and architectural teams to resolve interface and clash issues.
• Ensure compliance with IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893 (seismic), and other applicable structural
codes.
• Support preparation of as-built structural drawings and construction completion records.

Mandatory Skills:


• Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structural design principles and IS codes (IS 456, IS
800, IS 1893).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review and site mark-ups.
• Experience in site supervision of structural works including RCC framing and steel
structures.
• Ability to review and validate structural shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
Advantageous Skills:
• Prior experience in data center, industrial, or large-footprint commercial construction.
• Knowledge of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures and their erection methodology.

• Familiarity with structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro / ETABS) for design review.
Soft Skills:
• Meticulous attention to structural quality and safety compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary site teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage site activities independently.
 

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a specialization or strong foundation in
Structural Engineering. M.Tech in Structural Engineering is an advantage.


Experience:
• 3–5 years of structural construction supervision experience.
• Experience in industrial, data center, or mission-critical facility structural works preferred.
• Local candidates from Visakhapatnam / Andhra Pradesh strongly preferred.
