Signe leads Ramboll’s work on resilient cities, bringing together design, nature, and infrastructure to tackle climate challenges. She’s behind some of the world’s most ambitious sustainable projects and is passionate about using design to create real change.
Global Director of Future Resilient Design at Ramboll, Signe Kongebro drives strategies for resilient cities by integrating architecture, landscape, water, infrastructure, and mobility. Formerly a partner and Global Design Director at Henning Larsen, she founded its sustainability department in 2007 and has influenced industry-wide change in sustainable construction. Her portfolio includes major projects such as Fælledby, Copenhagen’s all-timber district designed to reduce carbon impact and enhance biodiversity; the Downsview Framework Plan in Toronto; and Volvo Campus Lundby in Gothenburg. Signe is known for applying data-driven tools to inform design decisions and for her contributions to global discourse on urban resilience through speaking engagements and advisory roles.
