Andrea H. Merkle

Andrea has more than 25 years of environmental consultancy experience, specialising in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), site selection due diligence, and environmental and social due diligence for international finance.

Andrea leads Ramboll’s team advancing data centre (DC) lifecycle services, including sustainability and ESG assessments, site selection and feasibility, due diligence, permitting, EHS operations, masterplanning, air and noise modelling, and site solutions. She has worked with DCs since 2014. Previously, Andrea headed Ramboll’s international impact assessment team, specialising in environmental and social impact assessment (EIA/ESIA), stakeholder engagement, international finance, and environmental, health, safety and social (EHSS) due diligence. Before that, she led the M&A due diligence team, delivering international multi‑site assignments focusing on site contamination, regulatory compliance and capital expenditures across sectors. Andrea advises corporates, financiers, investors, and legal clients.
