Tekla is a certified environmental systems manager with more than 27 years of experience in environmental regulations and permitting as well as environmental management and planning. She has worked on the development of regulations associated with aquifer protection, stormwater, wastewater, water reuse, aquifer recharge, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and unconventional oil and gas, and has implemented projects and guidance, conducted training, and negotiated terms and conditions associated with Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Aquifer Protection Plans, Groundwater Vulnerability Plans and underground injection control (UIC) regulations (Class I, II, III, and V permits). Tekla has worked on stakeholder committees and with clients to implement sustainable water management plans, develop water conservation strategies, and to meet corporate water resource management goals. In addition, she has performed multi-criteria decision analysis for mining, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, and oil and gas clients to optimize water management and planning, facility siting, footprinting and ESG metrics.
