Dr. Annette Bachand is an epidemiologist and biostatistician with more than 20 years of experience in the analysis of categorical and continuous level exposures from environmental and occupational sources in clinical trials, longitudinal and retrospective studies and simulations. She has experience in frequentist and Bayesian statistics, meta-analyses and statistical modeling.Throughout her career, she has worked in academia and as a scientific consultant, and has been the primary or contributing author on more than 50 scientific publications. Annette has extensive experience in modeling the benefits and risks of modified risk tobacco products (MRTPs), advancing the field of population modeling in the regulatory context, and has been an invited speaker and panelist at scientific conferences and FDA workshops. In addition, shehas been involved in air pollution research in the US and Central America. Annettereceived an MS in mathematics, and a PhD in public health (biostatistics/epidemiology), both from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
