Adam Fitchet is an ecology and biodiversity specialist with eighteen years’ experience of professional consultancy work. His background is in survey and assessment of potential impacts on ecology from wind farms and overhead transmission lines in Scotland. Adam’s particular specialism is ornithology, but he is also highly skilled and experienced in surveying for bats, as well as terrestrial fauna and flora species. With experience working as a biodiversity specialist on projects across the world, he is experienced in the appropriate ecological standards for projects in both national and international settings and has the in-depth knowledge required to undertake the biodiversity elements of project finance and ESDD work to ensure compliance with standards such as IFC PS6. In addition to wind farms and overhead transmission lines, Adam has worked on various power installations, pipelines, mines, roads and housing developments, as well as more recent experience on rewilding and species reintroduction projects. In the face of the global biodiversity crisis, Adam is passionate about Ramboll’s efforts to be leaders in the delivery of Nature Based Solutions and the associated robust, sustainable and meaningful mitigation and net gain enhancement for protected and threatened species, habitats and ecosystems.
