Taryn Horr

Taryn Horr is a seasoned and certified food safety scientist with over 11 years of experience advising manufacturers and brand owners in the food, beverage, dietary supplement, and cosmetic sectors. Her work includes regulatory compliance assistance, due diligence, and litigation support, with a strong emphasis on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) evaluations, risk assessments, root cause investigations, and post-market issue analysis. Taryn partners closely with legal teams, insurance providers, and industry stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate potential food safety hazards in alignment with FDA and USDA regulations, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards, and best industry practices. Her projects range from evaluating manufacturing and processing failures to guiding companies through recalls and regulatory actions to protect public health and brand integrity. Taryn holds a BS in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MS in Food Science from the University of Maryland.
