David Heidlauf has 25 years of experience as an environmental hydrogeologist. His environmental experience has focused on land pollution control—specifically the geologic and hydrogeologic evaluation of complex settings to delineate potential sources of impact—to characterize the extent and severity of impact, and to develop soil, waste, groundwater, indoor air and landfill gas remediation strategies. David has focused the last nine years of his practice on environmental bankruptcy-related projects in the chemical, environmental, manufacturing, rail, mining, landfill gas and energy industries. He is experienced in CERCLA project management, regulatory agency negotiation, environmental liability cost estimation, insurance cost recovery actions and expert witness testimony. David earned an MS in geology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a BS in geology from Wheaton College.
