Hazel has over 17 years’ experience in geo-environmental and contaminated land assessment, specialising in contaminated land investigation, quantitative risk assessment (QRA) and risk management. She has a technical background in geology, hydrogeology and contaminant risk assessment modelling. Working across public and private sectors, Hazel is responsible for managing desk studies, site investigation design and implementation, factual and interpretative reporting, the development of site conceptual models, generic and detailed QRA, remedial strategies and land quality work for Environmental Statements. She also classifies waste soil and creates material management plans. On top of delivering lectures and training seminars to a variety of audiences, she has been a guest lecturer at Leeds University for the Earth Sciences Hydrogeology MSc course. Hazel holds a BSc (Hons) in Geological Sciences and an MSc in Engineering Geology from Leeds University. Hazel is a Chartered Geologist with the Geological Society and fully Accredited Risk Assessor with SoBRA.
