Safaa Dergham has more than nine years of experience in environmental consulting, hydrology and geology, with an emphasis on site characterization, which is generally designed to evaluate risk assessment, engineer remediation plans and obtain closure under CERCLA and state regulations. She has conducted numerous subsurface soil and groundwater investigations, particularly for subsurface characterization of geologic and groundwater conditions that affect contaminant distribution, migration, remediation and site redevelopment. Safaa’s contaminant and subsurface evaluation experience includes (but is not limited to) VOCs, perchlorate, hexavalent chromium and NDMA in alluvial and fractured bedrock. She has assisted in developing remediation plans for groundwater cleanup under RCRA, and has managed multiple groundwater monitoring programs at commercial and industrial facilities. She has also assisted in providing litigation support services. Safaa earned an MS and BS in geology from California State University-Long Beach.
