Varalakshmi Jayaram

Varalakshmi Jayaram has seven years of air quality experience, with particular expertise in air quality, greenhouse gas and health risk assessments of major freeway and mixed-use development projects required under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She has also worked extensively on the in-use evaluation of emission control technologies on diesel engines—including those used for trucks, ships and harbor-craft—employed in a variety of applications. Varalakshmi earned an MS in mechanical engineering from The Ohio University, Athens, and a PhD in chemical and environmental engineering from the University of California, Riverside.
