Key Competencies
Tim Shickle has a wealth of both private and public sector environmental experience. From an arboricultural perspective, Tim’s specialties lie in Tree Hazard Assessment, highway tree policy, tree strategy and highway law and woodland management.
Recent Focus
His recent projects within the sector have included a five-year woodland management plan with the primary aim of maintaining the land as an asset that holds flood water whilst seeking to improve biodiversity and connectivity in the area. BS5837 surveys in several sewage treatment works and site audits and assessments on the utility network in the Solent area to ensure best practice and safety standards were being adhered to.
Credentials
Tim is an accomplished team leader, with the majority of his working life to date having been at Oxfordshire County Council, where he managed several professional highway disciplines, including setting up an Arboriculture Service and then managing the teams that delivered: Highway Asset Management, Street Lighting, Traffic Signals, Structures, Drainage and Road Safety. This experience has given Tim a real advantage when it comes to understanding complex projects and how specialist teams need to interact with each other to produce a balanced outcome.
