Steven has 20 years of experience conducting site assessment, environmental investigation, and remediation activities in accordance with state and federal regulatory agencies. His experience includes multi-media site characterization; evaluation of soil vapor intrusion and abatement measures; evaluation of contaminant persistence and migration; evaluation of risk of harm to human health and the environment; development of conceptual site models; litigation support; insurance support, and design, evaluation, and implementation of remediation technologies and/or programs. In addition, Steven has a long history of working in and around the mining industry. He possesses comprehensive knowledge of the mining sector and its operations, the benefits mining brings to surrounding communities, and the implications it has on the environment and society at large. Steve is an active committee member of both the National Mining Association (NMA) and Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME). He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Sustainable Development Committee for the SME, where he advocates for international mining projects, and has chaired numerous sessions and panels at national conferences on sustainable mine development practices.
