Scott Smith is a specialist in contaminated land issues with over ten years’ experience having led and been involved in numerous environmental and geotechnical/environmental site investigations including petroleum storage depots and oil/gas refineries, gas works, chemical works, former mine sites, foundries, textile works, landfill sites, engineering works, industrial estates and redevelopment/residential sites. He has overseen and validated remediation works on sites, and conducted quantitative risk assessments for both human health and environmental receptors for varying land uses. Scott has also contributed to numerous environmental desk-study portfolios. His work has included sites in both the UK and abroad (eg France, Ireland, Kazakhstan).
