Eric Wood has over three decades of experience in environmental science and hydrogeology, with expertise in site investigation and remediation, remedial cost estimation, litigation support and expert testimony, insurance technical support and coverage cases, cost allocation, environmental forensics, environmental liability valuation, due diligence, redevelopment of industrial properties, and environmental compliance. Mr. Wood co-leads Ramboll’s Emerging Contaminants Subject Matter Experts globally and has been both a nationally certified Professional Hydrogeologist and a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) for nearly 30 years. Mr. Wood has considerable expertise assisting clients with matters related to PFAS including complex site investigations in overburden and bedrock, groundwater flow and fate and transport assessments including modeling, PFAS plume characterization, air deposition modeling, human and ecological risk assessment, feasibility studies, remediation, remedy optimization, due diligence, environmental compliance, regulatory negotiations, risk communication, AFFF alternative analysis, comprehensive PFAS source forensic analyses, and apportionment of PFAS contributions among responsible parties. Mr. Wood also has considerable experience assisting clients and counsel in litigation support, expert witness testimony, mediation, and negotiated settlements and has contributed to favorable outcomes that have saved his clients more than $30MM related to PFAS matters to date. Recently, Eric was invited to brief a US Congressional subcommittee with his professional opinions related to the future regulation of PFAS and implications for the regulated community and other stakeholders.
