Dr. David Liu has more than 20 years of experience in environmental and regulatory chemistry, due diligence, site investigation and remediation and litigation support, having completed projects throughout the US, Asia and Europe. Prior to joining Ramboll, David was a staff scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, a lecturer at San Francisco State University and a postdoctoral associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society. David is the author or coauthor of over 20 publications on inorganic chemistry, environmental chemistry and technology and advanced materials. He holds a number of US and international patents on flue gas scrubbing systems and advanced materials. At Ramboll, David has directed numerous projects involving due diligence and site investigation and remediation. He has provided litigation support and expert witness services in over 20 cases involving chemical fate and transport and site remediation, and has assisted clients with due diligence reviews and regulatory compliance under the Toxic Substances Control Act. David received a BA in chemistry and biology from Wesleyan University, and his PhD in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
