Kristin Searcy Bell
Dr. Kristin Searcy Bell has over nine years of experience in environmental engineering, with particular emphasis on assessing the fate and transport of contaminants in river systems and evaluating potential remedial strategies for contaminated sediment sites. She has managed several sediment remediation and restoration projects that involved site assessment, remedy evaluation and remedy selection. Kristin also serves on the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) Contaminated Sediments Team, where she has contributed to the regulatory guidance documents on incorporating bioavailability into the evaluation of contaminated sediment sites, as well as on the selection of sediment remediation approaches. She earned an MS and PhD in civil and environmental engineering from Northwestern University, and a BS in biology from University of California- Los Angeles.
