Gary joined the company in 1989 and has worked on both new build and refurbishment projects in the Historic, Industrial, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Education, Defence, Retail, Law & Order, Art & Culture and Leisure sectors. As Technical Director Gary now leads projects within the Manchester structural team, heads key strategic projects nationally, and jointly leads the Ramboll network of engineers involved in heritage projects. He became a chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1996 and in 2013 Gary gained acceptance onto the Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers (CARE), which identifies civil and structural engineers skilled in the conservation of historic structures and sites. Gary is currently one of only 37 CARE accredited engineers in the UK. Gary has a highly regarded collaborative style, and is able to communicate highly technical issues clearly and with full consideration of the implications for risk budget and client priorities.
