Dr. Amnon Bar-Ilan has more than 10 years of experience in emissions inventory development, technical analysis of emission-reduction strategies, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and climate planning, and environmental analysis of project impacts. His work focuses on the development of emissions inventories—and models to generate these inventories—for both criteria pollutant and GHGs for municipalities and local, county and regional bodies. This has included the development of city-wide emissions inventories for GHG reporting; the development of regional multi-state emissions inventories for evaluation of regional haze and photochemical ozone formation; and the development of inventories for port and maritime activities and oil and gas exploration and production. Additionally, Amnon’s projects have included evaluating emission control technologies and other emission-reduction strategies for a broad range of on- and off-road mobile sources, including cost and cost-benefit analysis and control-strategy development assistance. He has participated in numerous project analyses under both the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and NEPA to examine emissions, air quality and health risk impacts of clients’ environmental issues.
