Electrical Engineer for consulting and design of global high-rise and complex buildings projects

Your new role
As our new Electrical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering team, contributing your skills and expertise to drive innovation and excellence in our projects. You will be involved in all stages of a project, from conception to completion, with responsibilities ranging from technical design to onsite supervision and quality assurance of electrical solutions. As a part of a global spearhead, you can expect to be working on projects across the Nordics and Europe, in sectors such as commercial, leisure and residential developments.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Technical design of electrical installations
- Onsite supervision and quality assurance of design and installations
- Facilitating local and international collaboration across disciplines
- Supporting the use of digital tools, including the digitalisation of engineering and calculation processes through script development.
Your new team
You will become a part of our global spearhead, High Rise and Complex Buildings, situated in our Buildings market. We are responsible for all Ramboll projects greater than 70m tall and all buildings with a complex architecture. We have extensive global experience in project delivery from the initial concept phase to final completion and handover.
We are based in the Ramboll HQ in Ørestad in Copenhagen but are involved in projects across the world. Previous projects include include Damac Heights (UAE), Bangkok Tower (Thailand), Jakarta Four Seasons (Indonesia), Shining Towers (UAE), City Life (Italy), U-Bora Tower (UAE), Tate Modern (UK), Ferrari World (UAE) and Bella Sky (Denmark).
Joining us, you will become a part of a skilled team of professional building services engineers, where collaboration is not only encouraged but essential to ensure success and continuous professional development. We work closely with colleagues in other countries to ensure that we adopt best practices and bring the latest innovations to our projects.
About you

Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success. These include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with design of electrical installations
- Interest in developing electrical solutions typically applied to tall and complex buildings (HV/LV infrastructure, resilient systems, power distribution systems, ELV installations, lightning protection systems, general and emergency lighting, fire & life safety systems, etc.).
- Ability to develop practical solutions which contribute to the project vision.
- International mindset and an ability to drive collaboration across construction disciplines, both within Ramboll and externally.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Familiar with applying at least one of the following international regulations and standards (British Standards, European Norms, National Fire Protection Association, National Electrical Code)
- Demonstrable design experience in various sectors (Arts & Culture, Commercial, Education, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Residential, Sports Arena, Transport).
- Proficiency in using at least two of the following digital design software (AGi32, Dialux, ETAP, Hevacomp, InDesign, Relux, Revit, Stabicad, Trimble Electrical Designer).
This position is based in Copenhagen, but we welcome applicants who are not currently located here and wiling to relocate for this exciting opportunity to join our team.
