About the Role

Your primary role will be to support our global operations in preparation of BOP related work in Feasibility study and project phase, including but not limited to:

  • Understand client requirements for the balance of thermal power plant systems, including turbines, condensers (ACC/Water cooled), WTP, WWTP, Cooling tower, Compressors, weigh bridges, and firefighting etc.
  • Preparation or reviews of PFD / P&IDs for the complete thermal power plant and waste-to-energy (WtE) plant.
  • Work closely with the Electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Selection of piping, valves, and equipment for the plant.
  • Prepare, review the drawings and data sheets for equipment packages across the power plant.
  • Work with various suppliers during the proposal and project phases to ensure the completion of engineering documents.
  • Develop and review process descriptions for the plant.
  • Create / Review general arrangement drawings of equipment.
  • Ensure designs meet project requirements through effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop cost estimates for the complete package.
  • Engage in HAZOP workshops to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Software skills like AutoCAD / E3D is an added advantage.
  • Experience of Waste to energy power plant / odour control systems is an added advantage.
  • Perform and report on site/shop acceptance tests.
  • Support performance guarantee tests for the complete thermal power plant.
  • Evaluate quality documentation, including ITP, FAT, and SAT documentation.
  • Strong knowledge in international design codes-ASME/EN/IBR

About you

The following experience is highly desirable in this role:

  • Bachelor/ Master of degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from recognized university or higher within a relevant scientific/technical/engineering field;
  • 10-15 years of experience on with project development experience, ideally in Thermal power plant/ Energy from Waste.
  • Competent to resolve and own the technical issues either by self or by liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Project management experience from a similar role;
  • Experience in a consulting role, conducting feasibility studies and due diligence, would be advantageous.
  • Experience in understanding commercial aspects of WtE plant would be advantageous, but not a necessity.
  • Intercultural competence and international experience;
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written and an ability to communicate effectively with various level of management within the company and with potential clients, suppliers, subcontractors and partners;
  • Customer-oriented and are characterized by a self-reliant, reliable and structured way of working;
  • Should be willing to travel as per project requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team, as well as being a team player.
