Junior Consultant - Biogas

Your new role

As our new Consultant you will be part of our biogas and waste-to-X team in Copenhagen (Ørestad office) with technical experts and project managers. You will participate feasibility studies, due diligences, design and implementation of large complex biogas projects as well as in gasification, pyrolysis and fermentation projects.

 

Your key responsibilities:

You will work in the biogas and waste-to-X team where you will apply your technical expertise in client projects.
This will include:

  • Develop process design, layout, mass and energy balances, process flow diagram etc for clients that want to establish new biogas/ biomethane plants.
  • Participate in due diligences where biogas and other waste-to-X technologies like gasification, pyrolysis and HTL are technically evaluated.
  • Providing expert advice to clients on for example feedstock mix/ selection, plant expansion, biogas upgrading, digestate handling and sustainability practices for biogas plants.
  • Providing expert advice to investors/ investment banks on technical input to business case, plant robustness, optimization possibilities, CAPEX and OPEX, technical investment need going forward etc.
  • Understand market trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes affecting the bioenergy industry.
  • Contribution to feasibility studies, concept development, basic engineering, tender document development, procurement process, contract negotiations, construction monitoring, commissioning, guarantee follow-up etc. for biogas/biomethane production plants as well as sorting plants and other waste-to-X production plants.
  • Increase your technical knowledge and insight through projects as well as participation in relevant technical competence teams activities.

About you

  • MSc or BSc within chemical, biological, energy, process or mechanical.
  • Knowledge of biogas/ biomethane production process, feedstock logistics, digestate handling, and sustainability standards.
  • Interest in waste-based processes and how waste can be turned into a valuable feedstock for production of fuels, chemicals and materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to other experts and non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in business travel domestically and abroad.
