Sim Deshpande

Sim Deshpande has over 17 years of experience in the air permitting and compliance field. Sim has experience managing complex air permitting projects (including PSD and/or NNSR) in the fossil fuel power generation, data center, and pulp and paper sectors as well as petroleum refining, chemical and miscellaneous industrial manufacturing. She is well versed in the typically applicable federal and state regulations applicable to the sources in these industry types and advises clients on rule applicability/exemptions. Sim has also conducted numerous control technology analyses in support of BACT, RACT, LAER, and BART evaluations. She manages complex air dispersion modeling projects in support of permitting actions including PSD-level modeling. Sim has also assisted trade organizations with draft rule assessments and development of comments. She has a BS and MS in chemical engineering from Mumbai University and Ohio University, respectively.
