Heimeran twisted office

"Der Heimeran" is a modern open office building project with spacious market hall on the ground floor and an underground parking garage with DGNB Gold Standard in Munich Westend, which combines convenience and innovation. The project features a 14-story tower with a twisted structural floor that rotates around its core and slanted columns, which has been one of the project's highlights. Ramboll was responsible for the structural design of the building from the initial phase to the construction, as well as structural project management and construction, ensuring the protection of the existing adjacent building with connected underground parking and fire protection concept, coordination and design. In addition to functioning as an office Building, the modern and vibrant space offer the best quality of life beyond work in a grown Munich district. We strive to pursue a holistic approach that fully considers the needs and goals of the project while meeting the highest standards in terms of quality, safety, and economy.

A complex building with unique technical solutions

“Der Heimeran” features many sophisticated and technical solutions. Three composite columns, which are visible from insight, hold up the 6 m free span lobby of the building. These three columns in shape of the greek alphabet “lambda” are a unique construction, that is developed and designed by Ramboll. The supporting structure was carefully analysed and designed to achieve the project's architectural goals, while also ensuring optimal safety standards and considering economic, ecological, manufacturing, transport and construction factors.

The building has a total gross floor area of 25,180 m², which consist around 13,100 m² area for office uses und 1,600 m² for shops on the ground floor. The office building was taken into use in 2023, offering a unique and innovative work environment for its tenants.
