Ross Beardsley, PhD, is a Senior Managing Consultant and Director of HazAtlas at Ramboll. He leads Ramboll's US climate risk practice, where he has built a team of developers, scientists, and analysts serving clients across the globe.

Ross works with private equity infrastructure funds, Fortune 500 companies, hyperscale data center operators, energy companies, utilities, and public agencies to assess and manage physical climate risk across their assets and operations. His work spans site screening and due diligence, portfolio-scale risk assessment, climate-informed resilience planning, and regulatory disclosure under frameworks including TCFD, California SB 253/261, the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, Australian AASB S2, and the Equator Principles. He has assessed climate risk across more than $200B in infrastructure assets, covering sectors including data centers, energy generation and transmission, ports, airports, water and gas utilities, manufacturing, and commercial real estate.

Ross created and directs HazAtlas, Ramboll's climate risk platform, which integrates downscaled climate model projections with geospatial hazard data to deliver facility-level risk assessments across large and diverse infrastructure portfolios. He also has extensive experience in climate change and air quality impact analysis for federal environmental review (NEPA) projects across the western United States, including Resource Management Plans and Environmental Impact Statements for the Bureau of Land Management.

Ross is a published author and invited industry speaker. He has authored peer-reviewed academic publications and a book chapter on climate risk and risk mitigation (Elsevier, 2026), and has been invited to speak on climate risk, resilience, and disclosure at industry events including the ULI Resilience Summit, NY Climate Week, SF Climate Week, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is a member of Ramboll's Americas Innovation, Digitalization, and Technology team, where he supports the integration of AI and digital tools into consulting workflows and service delivery.

Ross holds a PhD and BS in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida.
